Arrive in Katra | Visit Vaishno Devi TempleMeals: No MealUpon arrival at Jammu railway station/airport, board your vehicle and drive to Katra. After reaching the hotel, check-in and take some rest. After some rest, start trekking to the Vaishno Devi shrine for darshan. You would need to register yourself at the Yatra Reservation Counter (YRC) to get a computerised yatra slip/parchi. You can go on foot along a 13 km well-constructed footpath; however, if you do not wish to trek on foot, you can travel on ponies. After the darshan, you can come back to Katra. After reaching Katra late in the evening, go to the hotel and stay overnight. |

Thereafter, visit the local crafts market and get a glimpse of the finely-carved articles made of wood and papier mache. Return to the hotel in the evening and get a good night's sleep. |

Sightseeing in SrinagarMeals: Meals as per planGear up for a day-long sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the famous and mesmerising Mughal Gardens - Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of All). These terraced-gardens are located alongside the beautiful Dal Lake. Dotted with flowers of different colours and lush greenery, these gardens form part of the top attractions of this city. Thereafter, you can take drive alongside Dal Lake and enjoy the pristine beauty of this place. On the way back, you can visit the local Handicrafts Emporium that sells ornaments, hand-knotted carpets and shawls made of silk. In the afternoon, visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, which dates back to 371 BC. It is one of the oldest shrines in the region and is devoted to Lord Shiva. This temple is thronged by tourists and devotees all round the year. Return to the hotel in the evening and stay overnight. |
